Muslim Women's Day
As both Muslim and a woman, I wanted to create a poster campaign that fights against the negative stereotypes of Muslim women in the United States, especially those who wear the hijab. For so long have these misconceptions caused fear and discomfort for the Muslim community. The common misconceptions believe that they are uneducated, oppressed, fanatic, unwilling to assimilate, anti-American, and
unable to speak English.

By saying, "We are athletes, "We have style," "We are beautiful," and "We are empowered," I am reflecting on how Muslim women feel when they wear the hijab.
